The City of Vallejo will be hosting an additional redistricting hearing on Tuesday, March 8 at 8:30 p.m. to consider reintroducing an ordinance to adopt a final district map.

Vallejo residents can attend the hearing in-person in City Council Chambers (555 Santa Clara Street) or virtually via Zoom: https://ZoomRegular.CityofVallejo.net.

At the City’s fourth redistricting public hearing on February 8, the Vallejo City Council’s direction was to adopt the map that would impact the fewest number of individuals who would be switched from a 2022 election cycle to a 2024 election cycle. However, due to misguidance from the City’s demographic consultant, the intended map lettering was misidentified as Draft Map A, when Council intended to adopt Draft Map B. (Draft Map B in the map that has the fewest number of individuals who would be switched from a 2022 election cycle to a 2024 election cycle.) At the upcoming hearing, City Council will consider reintroducing its redistricting ordinance to adopt Draft Map B instead of Draft Map A.
